Homosexuality and the train of devastation that accompanies it’s behavior has long been a problem in Africa where an estimated 65 million have AIDS. President Museveni signed a bill into law on February 24 banning homosexuality in Uganda. Heavily criticized by the lame stream media and Obama, Museveni said to CNN in an interview when asks if he personally disliked homosexuals, “Of Course, they are disgusting. What sort of people are they? Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali said, “Homosexual practice is incompatible with Scripture” and he is right. Read  Romans one if you have doubt. Vladimir Putin

In his State of the Nation speech in January, Vladimir Putin asserted that, “Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values… Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan.” Russia has adopted new laws that ban homosexual propaganda and criminalizes the insulting of religious sensibilities. The Russian president went on to condemn the West, including the United States, for eschewing Christian values and opting instead for a “path to degradation.”

We have two serious problems in America concerning this issue: “The practice of homosexuality and the applause from the politically correct culture.” This is the exact verse [Romans 1:32] that made me realize how utterly wrong Jimmy Carter’s position is on all moral issues but especially abortion and gay rights. Liberals are not intelligent but they think they are and this is to our advantage. They are not as smart as they think and we are not as dumb as they think. We have enough sense to know that you can disagree with someone without hating them. This hate crime propaganda is as phony as global warming. It is how liberals want it to be but it is not reality. Putin and I agree on several things and one is that liberals are idiots.

• Several people have asked about our family in Limestone and all are well. I think the tornado got close to my sister that lives on Harvest Road but everyone is ok on both sides of the County [family wise]. Real Estate between Tanner and Harvest should be cheap, this is a half dozen tornadoes that has hit the exact same path since 1974. Unbelievable! One went through this same area 3 years ago.
• Celebration of Life Service for Truman Screws, 91, will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Keenum and Rev. Wally Blackman officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman County. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

  Mr. Screws died on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1922, in Cullman County to Thomas S. Screws and Mattie Ann (Dukes) Screws. Mr. Screws served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. He received his EDS in Educational Administration from Peabody College. He was a lifetime educator; being a teacher, a coach and a principal. He served as the Morgan County Superintendent of Education working from 1979 until his retirement in 1983.
