Moral Relativism

Moral relativism denies any absolute truth; especially objective truth established by our Creator. Let me give you a couple of examples: God created both math and music. Man can discover only what God has created. The musical scale has never changed and neither has 2+2=4. These are absolute truths woven into the fabric of the universe.

The Israelite’s tried anarchy and it didn’t work. Law and order are founded on objectives principles. You can’t allow everyone to do their own thing; this would create lawlessness and disorder [Chaos]. Our forefathers based our laws on those of Moses. Murder is murder, stealing is stealing and lying is lying. Truth cannot be changed by our subjective thinking. What can this sin sick world do to change Jesus? Nothing, not one thing. Do you believe a musical instrument can change the tune because it thinks it knows more than the musician playing it?

• Relativists Can’t Complain About the Problem of Evil [Can’t acknowledge evil]
• Relativists Can’t Place Blame or Accept Praise
• Relativists Can’t Claim Anything Is Unfair or Unjust
• Relativists Can’t Improve Their Morality
• Relativists Can’t Hold Meaningful Moral Discussions
• Relativists Can’t Promote the Obligation of Tolerance

A very conservative man and a liberal woman were debating moral absolutes. The woman claimed to be a moral relativist. The man said, “hand me your purse,” which she did reluctantly, then he opened it and began going through it which invokes an outcry, “You can’t do that,” she protested. “Why not?” Said the man. Without thinking it through, the woman said, “Because it is not right.” He said, “You just told me that you do not believe in right or wrong.”

The Truth may hurt for a little while but a lie will hurt forever.

There is an organization called LGBT and it stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. In spite of what you have been lead to believe, it is a tiny group, less than 2% of our society. How do they have so much influence? They have the support of Unholywood, the lame stream media, Obama and the democratic socialist party. In the past few months they have attempted to mute Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty but Phil would not conform and A&E was forced to back down rather than lose millions in revenue. A&E should have published a policy statement concerning their reversal: “Gays, we love you but we love money more.” The family oriented Cracker Barrel also did something dumb by pulling the Duck Dynasty products from their shelves: they too reversed their position in less than 48 hours. Then in March WORLD VISION U.S. announced their employment of gay Christians in legal same-sex marriages and their contributors were outraged and 48 hours later, World Vision recanted with an “apology.” In spite of reports to the contrary, Truett Cathy and Chick-fil-a have not changed their stance of gay marriage. I think his fear is of attracting gay hate groups but the company has not changed its position but have decided to remain quiet on the subject. This is not the resolute victory that we saw in the other cases but it is not a defeat. Cathy did not apologize for what he said, he did say that he had made some mistakes. If Cathy caves, there will be no more Chick-fil-A for Jack and associates. Let’s pray that the Cathy’s stand firm. My personal feeling is that they will not give in. Financially, they came out smelling like a rose; profits soared after their position was made public and they still contribute to what LGBT classifies as hate groups. You do understand that Southern Baptist causes could be on the list. Any person or group that adheres to the word of God and its clear teaching on the evils of sexual perversion, is considered a hate group by these morons. I use the word moron loosely in reference to all the dim-wits who define hate as disagreeing with another person. Using their own definition, Barrack hates Michelle because we all know they disagree on lots of things.

• I didn’t check anything but attendance yesterday, we had 337 Sunday and 276 roses in the vase.
• Working on VBS today, can you believe it: this year is flying by. It will be Labor Day before you know it!
• Our garden is looking good but we need a rain. 
• Just got home from an MBA Executive Meeting. Lasted 2 hours and 41 minutes. I saw several retired people there! Are you kidding me, the last place in the world I would go if retired would be to executive committee meeting.
• The blog was inspired by DECISION MAGAZINE. I feel confident that God raised up Franklin Graham for such a time as this.

COMMENTARY

I heard some democrats whining the other day about what’s happening to their health care and I laughed at them. I thought, “You voted for him and you are getting just what you deserve.” There is only one way that a person like Obama could be elected president, moral blindness on the part of the electorate. The American people have become so depraved and corrupt morally that we don’t see clearly. Instead of giving thanks to God for our great Republic, we have acted proudly and treated God as if He does not exist. We have invited Him to leave our class rooms and court rooms and refuse to acknowledge His presence, providence or provisions in the public arena. He has done to us what He did to Israel: given us over to our sin. Don’t blame God for inflation, higher taxes, rising health care cost, fraud and corruption in government. We created this bureaucratic monster that is devouring our freedom and our pay checks. It is all our creation, a product of our sin and selfishness. The sad thing is that the people of Alabama didn’t elect him but we are stuck with his destructive policies. I vote for succession. I am also sick of political correctness. Kathy Lee Gifford gave a MY HOPE testimony the other day and never mentioned Jesus name. She yielded to the pressure of political correctness.

A Wednesday night baptism, PTL. I could live with a baptism every service, amen! Jimmy and Sandra’s daughter Dana is having surgery today at UAB. Pray for me, I need to be in three places and can only be in one so I don’t know where I’m going.
