Marks of A Good Steward

“Then, turning to the others standing nearby, the king ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one who has ten pounds.’

~Luke 19:24, NLT

 It ill becomes the servant to seek to be rich, and great, and honored in that world where his Lord was poor, and mean, and despised.

~George Meuller

{Luke 19:11-27}

  1. He has a good, clear and positive attitude toward his Master.

  2. He is active, not passive. He expends time and energy to invest. He doesn’t bury or horde his Master’s resources and then sit in the recliner. He is not lazy.

  3. He is rewarded: He gets more in return than expected.

  4. He pleases his Master: this is his first order of business

You either use the resources God has given you to glorify Him and help others or you lose them. You will lose everything!

  • There is a chance that Gary may come home this weekend.
  • Terry and Becky’s granddaughter Aurora has surgery this morning [Oct.1].
  • God willing, I will be going up to Memphis to see Kane today. I am going to Birmingham first. Uncle Floyd is worse so, LORD willing, I plan to go to Rome Saturday Morning and then on over to Kennesaw to see Sydney play Volley Ball. She is featured on the Kennesaw Web Page.

  • Kane Update: {Good report} Kane is better today. Took away several antibiotics today. They did their job. He is eating some soft food. Feels better. They say Ronald McDonald housing if the sonogram is clearer. I think we have turned the corner. Prayers were heard. Thank you!
