celebrate Jesus Son of God

Put all your hope in how kind God will be to you when Jesus Christ appears.

I Peter 1:13, CEV

Do not look to hope but to Christ the source of hope.

~C.H. Spurgeon

When you invest money, it is wise to diversify, spread it around so that if one investment goes sour, you will have others to fall back on. When it comes to eternity, you should do the opposite, put all your eggs in one basket, Jesus. If Jesus is not the way, the truth and the life, I am in trouble but so is everyone else. To be honest with you, I don’t see anything out there other than Jesus to put your hope in, do you?

Can you imagine how hopeless the disciples felt when they saw Joseph and Nicodemus take Jesus body from the cross and put him in a tomb? I think they had given way to despair but when they saw the resurrected Christ, it changed everything for them and us. Were they glad to see Him? I think they were elated. Will we be glad to see Him? We will be the unbelieving world will not. Trust me folks, when we see Jesus, it will change everything: our night will become day, our sorrow will become joy, our pain will become infinite pleasure and hope will say it final good bye because we will not need it anymore.

  • DIGEST today and Baccalaureate tomorrow. Baccalaureate is at 6:30. We could use some prayer.
  • Only bad thing about a holiday is that don’t last long enough. I got to see the last half of Windtalkers where two U.S. Marines are assigned to protecting two Navajo Indians who the army used to communicate in their native language, one the Japanese could not decipher. One Navajo came home, one did not. I know one marine did not make it, I’m not sure about the second. Then I watch the very end of  WE WERE SOLDIERS and I like Lt. Colonel Hal Moore’s quote: “I will never forgive myself.” [News reporter] “For what sir?” Colonel Moore…“That my men….that my men died and I didn’t.” If We were Soilders does not move you, you are not an American. The quote below is not bad.

If you are having a bad day, read this from Bobby of L.A.

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000.00 At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers.. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

Still think you are having a Bad Day?

A woman came home to find her son in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist to his head. Thinking he was caught in some electric current, she ran outside and grabbed the first thing she saw which was a 2X4 and then she went back in and whacked  him with it, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his iPod.

Are You OK Now? – No?

Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

What? STILL having a Bad Day?

Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn’t pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with ‘Return to Sender’ stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb; he opened it and was blown to bits.

There now, Feeling Better?
