SCRIPTURE

Honor God by accepting each other, as Christ has accepted you.

~Romans 15:7, CEV

QUOTE

Accustom yourself to the wonderful thought that God loves you with a tenderness, a generosity, and an intimacy that surpasses all your dreams.

~Abbe Henri De Tourville

my thoughts red

Many people search their entire lives for the acceptance of others. They try to wear the right things, do the right things and say the right things in a futile attempt to gain the acceptance of certain others. We call them people pleasers: are you a people pleaser?

If so, you are searching for something you already have. G. Campbell Morgan, one of the most famous British preachers of the 19th and 20th centuries was one of 150 young men who sought entrance to the Wesleyan ministry in 1888. Morgan was among the 105 who were rejected and forced to wait another year. He was very dejected. He wired his father one single word, “rejected.” His father wired back, “Rejected on earth but accepted in heaven.” His dad was right; why are you striving for something you already have? Accept that you are accepted in the Beloved {Eph. 1:6}. It will make a tremendous difference in how you feel about yourself and others.
