celebrate Jesus Son of God

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

~Psalms 100:4, NKJV

No matter how bad our day may be, someone would gladly trade places.

my thoughts red

When our kids were growing up, Holly constantly reminded me that we were a dysfunctional family. She was probably right, we did have our share of problems but the older kids were telling me about children at school who had asked if they could live with us. We didn’t have much but Big Mama was a good cook and we did have meal times. For some kids, a good home cooked meal and two parents living under the same roof would have been a  dream come true. Those of us who have always had these things take them for granted but there are millions who dream about the life we are living. We may not be living our dream life but we are living someone’s. Be thankful for what you have.

EXTRA animated

  • Big L was 11 yesterday and his maw will be 36 tomorrow. Holly threw him a Barney birthday party. We got together and imagined we had food. My imaginary hot dog with mustard was delicious and it’s the first hotdog I’ve enjoyed without calories. Trust me, you do not want to take the Chloe bug to the new park: she will wear you out!
  • Kenny takes his first treatment today.
  • Don’t order any more Roses for MOM. She has enough! You had three weeks. The deadline was yesterday.
  • Deadline for ordering supper for tonight is 10:00am. It is looking like three more weeks of suppers and then a summer break.
