celebrate Jesus Son of God

Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

~Ephesians 4:32, NLT

You may be the only glimpse of Jesus some people will ever have.

~Roy T. Edgemon

Mary had a difficult time in elementary school. She had a speech impediment and she was not popular with the other students. Mary became that unfortunate student who the others mock and ridicule. The one bright spot in Mary’s life came when she was in fifth grade, it was her teacher. She was a tall, slender and very pretty and she liked Mary. Each year this teacher gave a hearing test: she would have the kids stand outside the class room and put their ear to the door, then the teacher would whisper a sentence. If the student could tell her what the sentence was, they passed the test. When Mary went outside and put her ear to the door she heard seven words that changed her life, “I wish you were my little girl.” Those words of kindness changed the way Mary thought of herself: it was the turning point in her life.

  • Dana Segars Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday at 4:00 pm at the Peck Chapel. Visitation for the family will be 3:00-4:00. Our Wednesday night schedule does not change: Supper at 5:30, AWANA at 6:15 and the Gathering at 6:30. The Super will be Chick-Fil-A box meals.
  • Out late last night [Monday]. The girls had a softball game in 37* weather. It doesn’t make sense to play softball outside in winter and play volleyball inside in fall but I’m not complaining, just stating facts.
  • We moved some things up because of SPRING BREAK…The Senior Adult fellowship will be this Friday at 11:30 in the parlor. Remember, the Sunday schedule does not change and we have a Baptism this Sunday but there will be no mid-week services on March 26.
