celebrate Jesus Son of God

SCRIPTURE

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

~Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV

QUOTE

Want to snatch a day from the manacles of boredom? Do an act of kindness for someone.

~Max Lucado

THOUGHT

Every act of kindness rendered for Christ sake will be divinely noted and eternally rewarded. We are enamored with success; big buildings, budgets and bank accounts. These are the things that impress us but not God. The Jews were in awe of the Temple but not Jesus: He said, “Not one stone will be left on another.”  Jesus was more impressed with the Widow who gave two mites than He was with the Temple. It is not the big things that impress Jesus, it is the small things you do for others that no one else notices.

EXTRA

  • GOTTA MOVE is our VBS Theme for Pre-school and Children. I think the kids will love it. It is going to be different but I think that will be refreshing. We still have some major hurdles to get over. We could use some prayer. Pray to the LORD of the harvest that He will send us workers.
  • Beautiful Day yesterday: Thank YOU Jesus!
  • Last night was our last meeting under regular time: Sunday night and next Wednesday, we will have an extra hour of daylight. Just remember, we lose an hour of sleep Saturday night. No deacons meeting this Sunday.
  • Josie and Ty inspired my blog. I think they must have studied the fruits of the Spirit in AWANA. Our VBS will be on the Fruits of the Spirit.
