COMMENTARY

Jesus_knocking_at_your_door-2The human heart has a door, it is called the will. Jesus said in Revelation 3:20…Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. In spite of what the Reform group says, you can see for yourself that this verse is a personal invitation. Jesus uses the singular pronoun he and him not they and them.

Instead of opening his heart to Jesus, Judas opened his heart to Satan and Satan came in and destroyed Judas. The one thing that Jesus and Satan have in common is that both are SEEKERS...JESUS seeks to save while Satan seeks to destroy. Judas made the worse mistake a human can make, instead of turning to Christ for forgiveness and salvation, he turned to the devil and got condemnation and death. We all sin, we all deserve death and hell; the difference maker is repentance from sin and faith in the LORD Jesus Christ.
