my hope Christmas

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

~John 14:1-3, NLT

Christ Jesus will prepare everything for our perfect happiness in heaven, and if it takes my dog being there, I believe he’ll be there.

~Billy Graham

This blog is dedicated to Sandra Segars. She is been speaking of heaven a lot lately. When I read this, I thought of her. “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. Probably earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing. If that is so, I must take care, on the one hand, never to despise, or be unthankful for, these earthly blessings, and on the other, never to mistake them for the something else of which they are only a kind of copy, or echo, or mirage. I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death; I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that other country and help others do the same.” {C.S. Lewis,  The Weight of Glory} And all God’s children said, “Wow!”

We had 52 for our Thanksgiving praise and worship and 48 testimonies. Everyone testified except Ty and Jace; then I forgot to give David the chance and then I forgot myself.  It was a good service. I tell folks its the most enjoyable service of the year but they don’t believe me. I was thankful to have 6-9 grandkids in the service and to have Seth at home this Thanksgiving.  Chloe Bug was sick or I might have had more. June and I will be heading for B’town in just a bit. Mary Stephenson’s mother, Betty McNee was promoted. I don’t know any details.
