Prayer For REVIVAL in America

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling.

~Ephesians 4:1, NKJV

Boast not of Christ’s work for you, unless you can show us the Spirit’s work in you.

~J.C. Ryle

Paul often referred to the process of our sanctification as a walk. It takes four things to make a walk. [1] It takes some maturity. Our grand daughter Chloe has energy but she doesn’t have the maturity to walk. We believe that she will but she’s not there at this time. [2] It also takes balance, [3] energy and [4] a sense of direction. A walk is a series of steps or a progression of steps in a specific direction. Paul said…

  • We walk in newness of life [Romans 6:4]
  • We walk not after the flesh but the Spirit [Romans 8:1]
  • We walk honestly as in the day (light) [Romans 13:13]
  • We walk by faith, not by sight [2 Corinthians 5:7]
  • We walk in love [Ephesians 5:2]
  • We walk in the light [Ephesians 8:8]
  • We walk in Christ [Colossians 2:6]
  • We walk in Wisdom [Colossians 4:5]

I am reminded of Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” We cannot always soar like eagles and sometimes we are too weary to run but we must keep walking. The one thing we cannot do is become stagnant: we must continue to make progress. Are you growing daily in Christ?

We didn’t get that much rain but thank God for what we got and the cool weather will help. June got the biggest tomato we have harvested all year out of our garden yesterday. Look at the size of this monster…

That is an ink pen in front of it: what a monster!

October is going to go by fast: Pray for MY HOPE…it is less than a month away. Yesterday was my sister Joy’s birthday [the one wearing glasses in the middle of the ones wearing glasses]. Happy birthday sister! All the Bailey kids are over 50. The baby will be 54 on December 23rd. Our composite age is 392 for the six of us. Reckon we’ll make 400; I think 500 is out of the question. This world is not our home, we are just passing through.

Composite Age 257...You do the math.

The Bailey Sisters…Holly, Joy, June and Beth
