Prayer For REVIVAL in America

SCRIPTURE

They sent some of their disciples, along with the supporters of Herod, to meet with him. “Teacher,” they said, “we know how honest you are. You teach the way of God truthfully. You are impartial and don’t play favorites.

~Matthew 22:16

QUOTE

You can sing all you want about how you love Jesus, you can have crocodile tears in your eyes, but the consecration that doesn’t reach your purse has not reached your heart.

~Adrian Rogers

COMMENTARY

I searched for a quote on the integrity of Jesus but all I could find at the spur of the moment was a quote about our lack of integrity. Make no mistake, Jesus has perfect integrity and He is a perfect judge of character. The Jewish religious leaders attempted to set Him up by flattering Him, “Teacher, we know how honest You are.” Ironically, everything their spokesman said about Jesus was true: He was honest, He taught the truth about God and He showed no partiality. Jesus was never impressed with social status, wealth, education, power or position. He was more impressed with the widow who gave less than a nickel than with the rich who gave thousands. Jesus saw the heart. He not only saw what a person was, He saw what they could become. Mary Magdalene and the woman at the well are good examples. Most of his disciples were social outcast. In some ways, Jesus was considered an outcast: He came from the wrong town, He had no visible wealth, no formal education; He did not even own a home. Thousands misjudged Him for these very reasons. Whereas you may misjudge Jesus–He will not misjudge YOU! Not only is He uncorruptable; he is also undeceivable!

EXTRA

When king Jehoshaphat of Judah was training his Judges, this is what he said to them– “Protect justice and do what is right because the LORD your God is fair. He does not treat some people as if they are more important than others, and He does not accept bribes to change His judgments.” [2 Chronicles 19:7, ERV]

EXTRA/EXTRA

I am aware that uncorruptable and undeceivable are not in the dictionary: just know that JESUS cannot be corrupted or deceived. Another fantastic Sunday. As Keith would say, “Unbelievable”…God is good…His mercy and grace are off the charts. He continues to bless our Sunday night services and last night we had two professions of faith which means we got to close with a family celebration. Church is definitely the Sunday Night place to be. I do wish that I had the ability and freedom to share with you what God has done for me. Let me just say that each Sunday is a miracle of grace and I drive home marveling at God’s goodness.
