COMMENTARY
I was thinking as I rode the mower yesterday evening: what in the world would I do without friends? Willard keeps my mower, weed eater, tiller, and chain saws going; Joe keeps my tractor going and Norman keeps my vehicles [and kids and grandkids] going. It takes an entire team to keep my cell phone going. Honestly, I do not know how we would make it without friends. I got a very nice card from a dear friend Wednesday night plus a little pep talk and I needed both. I was thinking yesterday, I do not express my appreciation for my friends like I should so this is a shout out to all my friends…”I love you and I appreciate all the kind things you do for me.” I am assuming that about 90% of those who read this blog daily are my friends: most people would not read it if they were not. I even consider those who read the extra to be my friends. I have no illusions; I’m not saying that I am popular, but quality trumps quantity when it comes to friends and we have some good ones.
EXTRA
Joe David and I plan to go to Jasper this morning for Brett’s grandmother COLS. Sylania is trying to get the YOUTH ROOM finished. If you can help, give her a call. I want to help but I have a full day and again tomorrow. We have our drivers for the airport [Guatemala team] and we will be making last minute preparations in the next 48 hours.
