Prayer For REVIVAL in America

SCRIPTURE

A person who is good will live!

~Ezekiel 18:5, ERV

QUOTE

The word “good” has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.

~G.K. Chesterton

COMMENTARY

I enjoy making list and in Ezekiel 18, I discovered a list of characteristics that define a good man…

  1. He is fair and does what is right. In other words, he has integrity.
  2. He does not worship idols.
  3. He does not take advantage of others.
  4. He helps the needy.
  5. He does not charge interest.
  6. He refuses to bend the law to his advantage. Will not do anything crooked or shady.
  7. He is trustworthy.
  8. He studies the bible [law] and tries to apply it to life.
  9. He is dependable.
  10. He is faithful to his family. He keeps his vows.

EXTRA

It has been a wild and wooly week. I get insulted Tuesday night; get no moral support on Wednesday; then on Thursday, all hades breaks loose. First I have to drive 100 miles to pick up my truck, then an insurance agent camps out at the office for an hour; then [same day] two kids lock themselves in the men’s bathroom in the FORTE. They are in panic mode and Tammy was close. It took me 10-15 minutes to get them out and I’m not going to tell you how. Friday evening, after studying and attending a COLS, I jump on the mower to cut the yard so I would have time to visit today and a belt caught on fire. I talk to Willard, he said “Don’t bring it in, we can’t get to it.” Then Big L and I go to football game last night and I lose my glasses. I missed them when we got to the car and my phone beeped and I could not see who texted me. When Josie and I get home, I start working on the blog and June is on Facebook. Then she comes in my study and asked, “Were you around Josh’s kids tonight?” I said “Yeah, I talked to his little boy and spoke to the little girl.” She said, “Josh’s little boy has on your glasses. Josh said he picked your pocket.” The little rounder is slick. I do remember bending down and talking to him but his hand must be faster than my eye. I think Josh is probably kidding. My guess would be the glasses fell out of my pocket and Josh Jr. found them. I think it is hilarious: the kid is going to be a riot! By the way, some one gave me an old suit case. Scratch the suit case request.
