SCRIPTURE: BUT–“When God our Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had don but because of His mercy.” [Titus 3:5, NLT]

QUOTE: Salvation is not what you have done for God; it is what God has done for you.

THOUGHT: The first part of prayer and worship is praise: why not begin this day with some heartfelt praise for the Savior.

COMMENTARY:  [Max Lucado, Grace For the Moment] You may be decent. You may pay your taxes, kiss your kids, love your wife and sleep with a clear conscience but apart from Jesus Christ, you are not holy and you are not bound for heaven. You must believe in Christ, accept the work that He has already done if you hope to go to heaven. Abandon your works and accept His righteousness. Abandon your decency and accept His. Stand before the Holy Father in His name, not your name. Perhaps you are thinking: “that is too easy”! There is nothing easy about it. The cross was heavy, the blood was real, the price Jesus paid for our sins was infinitely greater than we can imagine. His love and sacrifice was more than extravagant. Call it simple, call it a gift but don’t call it easy. Why not call it what it is–“Amazing Grace”.

EXTRA: Commentary is not word for word but it is close: sorry about that, I over slept this morning and I am running late. Have a great day! Thanks for reading the blog. I did not have time to proof or spell check. Do the best you can.
